ATS Professional Development Inc. provides accessible, high-quality workforce training and healthcare certification programs to Philadelphia residents, removing financial and systemic barriers to careers in healthcare and professional services.

Our story

Built to close the gap

ATS Professional Development Inc. was founded in Philadelphia with a simple belief: that credentials change lives, and that the people who need those credentials most are often the ones least able to pay for them. We set out to close that gap.

Located in South Philadelphia, we serve residents who are ready to work — many of whom are unemployed, underemployed, or transitioning careers — by connecting them with the training, instructors, and certification pathways that healthcare employers actually require.

In 2026, the City of Philadelphia invested $250,000 in ATS through its Seed Capital program, recognizing our model as a high-impact, community-centered approach to workforce development. That investment is now being put to work across six program tracks, with more to follow.
