ATS Professional Development Inc. exists to create opportunity for people who need career development. We remove the financial and systemic barriers in the way, start every participant with the professional skills that make training stick, and carry them through to a credential and a job that improves their quality of life.

Our story

Built to close the gap

ATS Professional Development Inc. was founded in Philadelphia with a simple belief: that credentials change lives, and that the people who need those credentials most are often the ones least able to pay for them. We set out to close that gap.

Located in Philadelphia, we serve residents who are ready to work — many of whom are unemployed, underemployed, or transitioning careers — by connecting them with the training, instructors, and certification pathways that healthcare employers actually require.

In 2026, the City of Philadelphia backed ATS through its Seed Capital program, recognizing our model as a high-impact, community-centered approach to workforce development. That support is now being put to work across our program tracks, with more to follow.

ATS Professional Development funds your seat and supports you from application to career launch. Each certification track is taught by an independent training partner, and that partner — or the national exam body — issues your certificate or credential.
