Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

CRCST Certification · IAHCSMM

Sterile Processing Technicians are the unsung heroes of every hospital and surgical center — the professionals who ensure that every surgical instrument is safe, sterile, and ready for use. It is exacting, important, and in demand. ATS prepares you for the CRCST (Central Resource and Clinical Service Technician) exam administered by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM). Our program covers decontamination, sterilization methods, instrument identification, quality assurance, and department operations. Upon certification, graduates are qualified for positions in hospital central service departments, surgical centers, and outpatient facilities across the Philadelphia region.

Certified Nursing Aide (CNA / Nursing Aide)

Pennsylvania State CNA License · PA State Board of Nursing

Certified Nursing Aides provide hands-on patient care in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home health settings. It is one of the most direct paths into healthcare — and one of the most rewarding. ATS prepares you to pass the Pennsylvania CNA licensure exam, covering essential patient care skills, communication, infection control, and professional standards. Upon passing, you will be listed on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry, which is required for employment in regulated care settings.

Phlebotomy Technician

CPT or RPT · NHA or ASCP

Phlebotomists collect blood samples for testing, transfusions, research, and medical procedures. It is a skilled technical role in high demand across hospitals, clinics, blood banks, and laboratories. ATS prepares you for the CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) or RPT (Registered Phlebotomy Technician) credential through NHA or ASCP. Our curriculum covers venipuncture techniques, specimen handling, patient interaction, and laboratory safety.

BLS / CPR Certification

AHA BLS Provider Card

ATS offers American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) training for healthcare providers, caregivers, and community members who want to be prepared to respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. Our certified instructors lead hands-on sessions with CPR manikins and AED simulators. Upon successful completion, you receive an AHA BLS Provider card valid for 2 years.

Prepare for the job search and the workplace with ATS Professional Development. Modules cover resume writing, cover letters, interview skills, professional communication, networking, and workplace expectations. This track is ideal as a standalone program or as a complement to any of our healthcare certification tracks.

Program availability is subject to cohort openings, instructor certification, and applicable state and accreditation requirements. CNA/Nursing Aide and Sterile Processing programs require instructor authorizations from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and IAHCSMM respectively, which are in process. Phlebotomy programs require NHA or ASCP program authorization. Contact ATS to confirm current program availability and cohort start dates before applying.
